-:The Worst Affected Migrant Workers During Lockdown:-
During lockdown the migrant workers had to face many difficulties. In the wake of Covid-19 pandemic several governments had imposed lockdown in their respective jurisdictions to prevent the disease from spreading further.
In India lockdown was imposed on and from 23rd March 2020 without any prior announcement. Workers worked outside their own state had been locked. Nobody would not know how many phases of lockdown would be. When lockdown phases continued one after another the workers became worried. Food, money and every necessary commodity for survive ended. They became restless to return their home. A migrant worker informed, ‘’We had to spend day after day in starving. Then we started walking towards our home states.” In the same way some by cycle, some by foot went out for their home states.
In
this miserable condition Indian railway started some special trains. Many migrant
workers hired private bus. But none could enter their state without E. Pass. Finally,
many migrant workers reach their home. A worker expressed his miseries and said
that he never went to the other states for job.
